This event will center around "THE POWER OF DESERTS: Climate Change, the Middle-East, and the Promise of a Post-Oil Era," the new book by Prof. Dan Rabinowitz of Tel-Aviv University. Prof. Steve Cohen of Columbia University will moderate a discussion of the role of the oil-rich countries of the Persian Gulf in leading the global transition to renewable energy. In addition to Prof. Rabonowitz, the panelists will include Dr. Yochanan Kushnir, Lamont-Doherty-Earth Observatory, Columbia University, and Sara Tjossem, School of iNternational and Public Affairs, Columbia University.
